FSC China is looking for an engaged Senior/ Performance and Standard Officer to reinforce its technical work.

• To organize workshops and trainings independently and effectively, including but not limited to event planning, implementation, review and reporting.

• To coordinate with internal and external experts to develop guides, training materials as requested.

• To develop and deliver online or offline information sessions on FSC standards and tools (Senior Officer).

• To conduct research and surveys under the guidance of FSC China Senior Manager of Performance and Standard.

• To coordinate the public consultations with Chinese stakeholders in relation to FSC standards.

• To analyze and respond to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders related to Forest Management, Controlled Wood and EUDR.

• To manage vendor negotiation and support procurement process.

• To support education and consulting services that could be delivered by FSC China.

• To collate, translate and draft communication pieces on updates of FSC normative requirements.

• Additional tasks as agreed with FSC China.

Education and Training

A university degree in Forestry, Biology or related field.

Working Experience, Style and Skills

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in one or more of the following fields: standard development or usage, certification, forest management or ecosystem services (5 years for Senior Officer).

• Knowledge about FSC FM standards, or audit/ management experience a plus.

• Excellent project management skills, including planning, implementing, and reporting.

• Excellent coordination and negotiation skills.

• Multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-cultural, inter-disciplinary, multi-lingual, global team.

• Ability and eagerness to learn in an ever-changing business context.

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

• Attention to details and a high level of accuracy in work.

• Experience with any forestry product related industry an advantage.

Communication Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders both orally and in writing.

• Excellent ability to speak and write in both Mandarin and English.

Excellent skills in Microsoft Office packages.
