1月16日,第一次FSC中国商业伙伴论坛在上海召开。来自商业和非营利机构的超过50名代表共同讨论了FSC在飞速发展的中国市场的机遇和挑战。

论坛在北京林学会秘书长王小平先生的致辞中开始了关于可持续供应链的讨论。身兼FSC中国理事会主席的王小平先生回顾了FSC在中国发展的历史,并表示FSC越来越得到中国政府部门的认可。

众多具有行业影响力的企业如宜家家居、斯道拉恩索、芬欧汇川、金佰利、利乐、百安居、凸版快捷财经印刷等在会上分享了企业对FSC的认同和行动。绿色和平和世界自然基金会的代表也就民间社会与企业的互动进行了分享。

作为一家本土木地板企业,大自然地板分享了FSC认证为其企业经营所带来的 机遇。大自然家居工程国际部CEO朱宏耀先生说“我们在秘鲁的林场由于获得了FSC认证,使得我们的产品向美国市场的出口进行得更加顺畅”。他也期望未来FSC的产品将在中国获得更快的增长。

中国的造纸和包装行业是FSC认证在中国市场中最活跃的行业之一。作为FSC全球的战略合作伙伴,金佰利在中国的分部也积极推动FSC在中国市场的消费者意识的提升。金佰利旗下知名品牌舒洁产品于2012年获得了FSC认证,并在全国超过500家零售店向消费者推出“舒洁爱地球”的宣传,引导消费者选择来自负责任森林经营的纸制品。

企业在推动可持续供应链和负责任森林经营的努力也将会得到FSC中国办公室更加大力的支持。FSC中国大客户经理易兰在会上分享了FSC全球消费者调研的结果。调研旨在分析消费者的绿色消费和行动,结果显示如果企业产品获得第三方认证体系的支持,消费者对企业及其产品的信任会极大提升。将环境和社会责任引入企业的核心战略,对企业持续成长和差异化表现至关重要。

会议由FSC亚太区总监Alistair Monument先生致结束辞。“今天的会议充满建设性和有益的讨论。我衷心的感谢大家在以往对FSC的鼎力支持,我也期待我们之间更好的战略合作以共同推动森林保护与商业的共赢。”

Working together for sustainable growth: FSC ChinaBusiness Forum

On 16 January 2014, the FSC China Business Forum was heldin Shanghai. It was the follow-up to the first FSC China Business Forum held atthe FSC In Good Company event in 2011 in Bonn, Germany. More than 50participants from businesses and the non-profit sector engaged with FSC at theone-day event. The forum focused on developing FSC’s position in the fastgrowing Chinese market.

The Secretary General of the Beijing Forestry Society andChair of the FSC China Board of Trustees, Mr. Wang Xiaoping, reviewed thehistory of FSC’s development in China and highlighted the growing recognition of FSC certification by the government sector.

Business representatives from leading companies such as IKEA, Stora Enso, UPM, Kimberly-Clark, Tetra Pak, B&Q, Yum and Toppan Vite discussed their commitments to FSC and their efforts to promote it in the Chinese market.Greenpeace and the World Wildlife Fund also presented their perspectives on the engagement of the NGO sector in China.

Nature Home, China’s largest wood flooring company, highlighted the benefit of FSC certification to its business. Raymond Zhu, CEO of Global Operations, said that “our FSC certified forests in Peru have improved market access for our products in the United States.” He expects to see future growth in demand for FSC products, especially in China.

The Chinese paper and packaging sector is growing in importance for FSC. One of its strategic global partners, Kimberly-Clark, which recognizes the pivotal importance of building consumer awareness in China, recently held an 'Kleenex Loves Earth' marketing campaign which was visible in more than 500 stores across the country.

FSC is committed to providing strategic services in China and partnering with businesses to ensure sustainable growth. Yi Lan, FSC China Key Account Manager, presented findings from the first ever global brand positioning research done by FSC, which said consumers have greater trust in companies and products when they are backed by certification marks. The research concluded that motivating companies to collaborate and implement environmental practices as a growth factor and differentiator for their business is a priority.

The forum was wrapped up by Alistair Monument, FSC Asia Pacific Regional Director. He encouraged more engagement and collaboration between business partners and FSC China in order to build a stronger market presence. “It was a very engaging and constructive forum,” he said. “We thank you for your consistent support to FSC in the past, and we look forward to strengthening our strategic relationship and work together to promote both FSC and your business in China.”
